Phospho-AKT (Ser473) Antibody
Catalog#
Product Description
ICP0453
PKB alpha (AKT1) is a member of the PKB family, which is responsive to cell activation. The anti-PKB alpha antibodies were raised with a peptide based on the sequence of the human PKB C-terminal end and affinity purified with the same peptide on agarose. The affinity purified antibodies are useful for detection and isolation of PKB alpha from cell lysates.

250 μg/mL in PBS, 50% glycerol
Immunogen
Human PKB C-terminal peptide that is based on human PKB-KLH conjugates
Purification
The antibody was affinity purified with PKB phospho-peptide on agarose and affinity adsorption with non-phospho-peptide of the same sequence.

Scientific Description
AKT is also known as protein kinase B (PKB). It is an important molecule in mammalian cellular signalling. It inhibits apoptotic processes and is involved in cellular survival pathways. It also induces protein synthesis pathways.
