ICP6010
The Stat1 transcription factor is activated in response to a large number of ligands and is essential for responsiveness to IFN-α and IFN-γ. These antibodies were raised based on the human Stat1 sequence (690-720 aa) and tested in western blotting of human and mouse cell lysate and mouse tissue (spleen) extract to detect Stat1.

Scientific Description
|
STAT1 and STAT2 were the first two STAT (signal transducers and activators of transcription) proteins discovered. They are involved in interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) and IFN-gamma signal transduction. Other STAT proteins that have been identified are STAT3, 4, 5a, 5b, and 6.[1] Specific functions of the STAT proteins are poorly understood. They are thought to be involved in a variety of systems including antiviral responses and cell transformation. [2]
