Crebtide (KRREILSRRPSYR) is a substrate peptide derived from the protein Creb which is widely utilized as a synthetic substrate for the PKA and PKC kinase families. Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal anti-pCrebtide is developed with phosphorylated Crebtide (KRREILSRRPpSYR) and absorbed with non-phosphorylated Crebtide.

Formulation
250 μg/mL in TBS, 0.1% NaN3
Immunogen
Phospho-Crebtide (KRREILSRRPpSYR)-KLH
Purification
The antibody was affinity purified with KRREILSRRPpSYR on agarose followed by affinity desorption with non-phosphorylated Crebtide.
Specificity
The antibody recognizes only the phosphorylated Crebtide product of PKA and PKC in a non-radioactive kinase assay. There are no cross-reactions with the non-phosphorylated Crebtide.
Applications
ELISA; WB; Non-radioactive PKA and PKC kinase assay

Scientific Description

p33 (ING1) is a new growth inhibitor candidate for a tumour suppressor gene. p33 (ING1) cooperates with p53 and down-regulates cell growth by activating transcription from the p21/WAF1 promoter although there is no sequence similarity between p33 (ING1) and p53.
