Product Description
ICP6090
Acetylated BSA is chemically synthesized through acetylation of the epsilon amino group of the lysine residues with activated acetic acid. The acetylated BSA is well recognized and binds strongly to affinity purified anti-acetylated lysine antibodies.
Western blot analysis of acetylated BSA. A to B, acetylated BSA in ng.

Formulation
5 mg/mL in PBS
Acetylation
Approximately 20-30 acetyl groups/BSA
Applications
Positive control and competitive inhibitor for anti-acetylated lysine antibodies
Scientific Description
BSA is a protein with a molecular weight of 66,430 Da, [1] and 583 amino acid residues. Because BSA is highly soluble in water, it is used as a diluting or blocking agent for many techniques such as Western blots, ELISAs and immunohistochemistry.
